Who Are the West Coast Trojans?

The Trojans were formed in 2004 by former East Kilbride Pirate & Team Scotland coach Gary McNey following a season with the Edinburgh Wolves and a conversation with their GM Doug Adamson.

The Trojans have been one of the most successful Scottish clubs in the last 10 seasons winning no fewer than 6 Divisional Championships and 3 National Championships and have appeared in 3 British Bowl games, unfortunately they were defeated 28-27, 48-20, 10-6 by strong Southern teams.

The club is currently playing in the British American Football Association NFCll North and this year will play against the Dundee Hurricanes, Glasgow Tigers, Aberdeen Oilcats, Newcastle Vikings and Northumbria Lightning in a H and A fixture for a 10 game season, the winners from the 3 Div and next best 5 teams will then play 1/4 and semi final to determine the 2 clubs who will battle it out for the Thistle Bowl.

The Trojans are currently sponsored by Prolife Fitness Centre and Five on 5s who are both based in Paisley. The club trains at these venues on a Tuesday 7.30pm and Sunday 12pm were anyone can pop down and see if the sport and the Trojans is something they wish to take up.

2015 Season - We kicked of our season on the 12th April with a very convincing 58-8 win against our old rivals Dundee Hurricanes, our next fixture is on the 3rd a May away to Newcastle Vikings. Our home schedule does not kick off till June 7th, then we have 5 home game over the months of June and July with hopefully 2 home field playoff games in August.
